The Heart Chakra is the bridge between the earthly and spiritual realms, it is the place where the energies from Gaia and the Sun meet. It is a very powerful centre, in fact, it is the place that produces the most electromagnetic energy in the human body. This is also 60 times more powerful in amplitude than the brain. That should tell you something right there. The heart is the seat of the soul. The ancient Egyptians knew this, Hindus too and also the Aztecs.
To neglect one’s heart is to cut yourself off from the Divine. When I use the word, ‘Divine’, here I mean, ‘Discovery’. With a closed heart, you don’t exist fully. You may be here participating in the grand game but you won’t have the range of feelings available to really connect with reality in a meaningful way. So too it is with other people, there will always be a disconnect, a little distance. Sadly, the majority of us are in this condition, myself included. The awakening that’s going on at the moment is all about recognising this centre for what it is, and how vitally important it is for our overall health and wellbeing.
Open your heart, that’s the key phrase here but how do we do that? I’m not sure. I haven’t met anyone yet that has got this pegged. One thing I do know is that it is the next stage of our evolution. We have had the era of focus on the Solar Plexus Chakra. Now is the time for heart. So take heart and be assured that everything is working out right on schedule. Once our hearts open across the planet, there will be a revolution the likes of which the world has never seen before. Unconditional and Universal Love is the name of the game here and, seeing as most of the Love that we give and receive comes with conditions, we’re not there yet. Soon we’ll experience it though, very soon indeed.
An overactive Heart Chakra can lead to codependency, clinginess, jealousy, martyrdom, being demanding and too self-sacrificing; while under-activity can lead to loneliness, depression, broken heartedness, sorrow, grief, being judgemental, narcissistic and afraid of relationships. A person with a balanced Heart Chakra shows traits of compassion, love for self and others, flexibility, resilience, coping skills, caring, sharing, peace and empathy.
Eating greens, broccoli, brussels sprouts, chard, kale, coriander, green apples, pears, kiwi, limes, asparagus, green beans, peas, celery, green peppers, cucumbers, green grapes and drinking apple, pear, lime and green grape juices or a green veg smoothy, wearing green clothing and scents of rose, jasmine, lavender, frankincense and chamomile can help to balance the Heart Chakra.
Chanting the vowel sound “AH”, so that you feel the vibration in your heart region will help to stabilise this Chakra.
