The negative Insectoids are a highly insidious and invasive species. They are comprised of many different insect races, with some being akin to their Earthly counterparts but huge in size. Others have developed into humanoids, with more highly evolved faculties of intelligence with technology to match. That being said, some of the bugs have extraordinary abilities being able to travel lines of energy, open and close portals and travel interdimensionally. The more revolting of these beings are designed to elicit an emotional response from their victim and then drain their vital essence. Like a large energy-sucking mosquito or tick. Many of the collective are linked to a hive mind as part of a swarm. Most are repulsive to look at from a human perspective and have the uncanny ability to make the stomach churn.

They are heavily allied to the Reptilians but also have their own agenda, which is to increase the size of the swarm and expand their territory. The majority don’t have feelings like human beings do and it’s difficult to describe what sensations they experience. It’s instinctual behaviour rather than anything else, with the brain bugs, directors of the hive mind, being an exception. This is where the Paul Verhoeven film, Starship Troopers, becomes a documentary.

Highly intelligent Praying Mantis beings sometimes accompany the Greys on abduction missions. This is usually to engage in research or hybridisation project. This can be with or without the consent of the individual. Sometimes, these missions are interacting with volunteers rather than people being taken against their will. There are positive and negative beings within this particular species. The positive entities are sometimes depicted as highly intelligent, spiritually advanced, and possessing healing capabilities by experiencers. Accounts suggest that encounters with mantid beings involve telepathic communication and guidance. The negative side of the collective offer a different kind of interaction entirely and meetings with them and the Greys can be harrowing.
