Butterfly Queen

Amidst dappled sunlight, the Butterfly Queen watches her kaleidoscopic subjects dance on forest breezes. Though trials have honed her wisdom, innocence persists in eyes brimming with wonder and optimism. Her delight in their fluttering beauty remains undimmed by time’s testing. With intuition, she understands transformation intimately. Her own life mirrors metamorphosis, shedding limiting forms again and again, emerging resplendent after each passage through shadowy cocoons and moments of dissolution. She recognises the opportunity in turmoil. Yet she also appreciates those fragile in-between phases when wings are still damp and tender. Her compassion shelters spiritual larvae transitioning awkwardly in their becoming. A gentle hand guides them to light when they stumble lost in gloom. When they sleep, it is she that tenderly rouses them from their slumber. Awake and transfigured, they fly free.

We know life’s oscillating cycles cannot be rushed or resisted.
