An intrepid adventurer, barefoot in flowing white, runs unfettered into shining surf. Her blonde hair streams behind like a banner proclaiming boundless joy. The beach resembles a paradise realm, impossibly perfect waves crashing onto pink sand. Radiant formations rise from crystal waters, invoking alien worlds.

As a cosmic traveler, she is compelled by infinite curiosity to voyage beyond horizons both inner and outer. Consensus reality seems a restraining illusion to a restless spirit. Each moment brims with strangeness, multi-dimensional layers waiting to be revealed. Concealed doors may open unexpectedly. Space and time intertwine in mysterious ways. She seeks above all to connect, communicate and make meaning. Relationships are the conduits through which her life unfolds. As a bridge between realms seen and unseen, she deciphers symbolic patterns and synchronicities. Yet there are always deeper truths remaining veiled. To glimpse them requires relinquishing limits on thought itself.

When we understand the Eastern teachings of Indra’s net – an infinite grid of jewels, each containing reflections of all others ad infinitum. So too are all dimensions interlinked, reciprocal and co-arising. Within each point of consciousness, the whole exists. As without, so within. We can go anywhere that we choose when the mind realises that it is possible. This is knowable through direct experience, unmediated by dogma. No intermediary blocks our access to wisdom. It is only our own limitations that prevent us from journeying far. We must approach the cosmos with a beginner’s mind, empty of preconceptions, releasing self-doubt. When this is done, the expansion is immediate and permanent – we can repeat the process indefinitely. 

In travelling, whether to physical or metaphysical destinations, we find sanctuaries of wonder restored. Making contact with the alien broadens the mind and opens the heart. On resplendent shores, worry falls away as we enter communion with rhythms older than time. Waves rush to meet wandering feet, cleansing, renewing. Breezes ruffle hair like a loving hand. In this light, we are enough. We always have been.
